Xinzhuang City (traditional Chinese: 新莊市; pinyin: Xīnzhuāng Shì) is a city in the western part of Taipei County in northern Taiwan (ROC). Traditionally, the city has been spelled "Hsinchuang" in the Wade-Giles system. It is spelled "Xinzhuang" in Hanyu Pinyin (official since 2009-1-1), and "Sinjhuang" in the Tongyong Pinyin system (official before 2009-1-1).

In 2009 the entire county is due to become a city in its own right: a special municipality called New Taipei.[1]
