Hu Haifeng

Wikipedia: Hu Haifeng

Hu Haifeng (Chinese: 胡海峰; Pinyin: Hú Hǎifēng) is a Chinese businessman and the son of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Biography

Hu Haifeng was the president of Nuctech, a government company created in the late 1990s to make large scanners for shipping and trucking containers and railway cars - it accounts for 90% of the domestic market. He was of Nuctech until 2008, when he was promoted to Communist Party secretary of Tsinghua Holdings, which controls Nuctech and more than 20 other companies.[1]

In July 2009, the Namibian Government charged Nuctech with corruption, prompting censorship of the issue in Chinese newspapers. As of July 21, 2009, there was no public evidence that Hu Haifeng or other high officials of the company knew of the Namibian dealings.[2]
