Hugh "Huey" Morgan (born August 8, 1968 in New York City as Hugh Thomas Angel Diaz Morgan) is the frontman of the New York-based rock/hip hop group Fun Lovin' Criminals.[1] He is a guitarist and applies his rock abilities in combination with hip hop music, jazz, rock music, reggae, and funk.

Morgan is half-Puerto Rican and half-Irish. In his youth he got into trouble with the law. A judge finally gave him the choice between going to jail or joining the Marines. He chose to join the Marines.[2]

In 1993, Morgan formed the Fun Lovin' Criminals with Brian Leiser and Steve Borgovini.

Career outside Fun Lovin' Criminals

Huey wrote a regular wine column for the British magazine Mondo from 1999 to 2000.

On TV, Morgan has appeared on the UK comedy music quiz show Never Mind The Buzzcocks,[2] twice as a guest panelist and once as a presenter. He also participated in the BBC's The Underdog Show, where eight celebrities trained and rehabilitated rescued dogs.[3]. He currently hosts 'Slips' on the music channel VIVA [4].

He recently did a voice-over for the video game Scarface: The World is Yours, and is working on the film Clubbing to Death with Craig Charles, Nick Moran, Dave Courtney, and Deepak Verma. The film is due for release in 2008.[2]

Morgan previously lived in Dublin, Ireland, where he co-owns The Voodoo Lounge, The Dice Bar and DiFontaine's Pizza Place. He now lives in London with his English wife, Rebecca, and dog Sugar.

From Sunday 5 October 2008 Huey has hosted his own radio show on BBC 6 Music.[5] The show won a Bronze Award at the 2009 Sony Radio Academy Awards. Since August 2009, he has regularly co-hosted the BBC Radio 2 Jonathan Ross radio show, with Liza Tarbuck, during Ross's holidays.
