Review

More fireworks from Tito Rojas, as the singer's enigmatic and forceful personality keeps pushing the envelope with another outstanding production. This effort begins with a mournful tune; Julio "Gunda" Merced's composition of "Amigo" is dedicated to Sammy Torres, the co-director of the singer's successful band who was brutally slain shortly before the CD's release. "Por Que Nos Separamos," "Estoy de tu Parte," "Por Esa Mujer," and "Quierro Hacerte el Amor" are the most recommendable songs of the package. Talents like ace trumpet player Elías Lopés, trombone player Antonio "Toñito" Vázquez, and timbalero Celso Clemente Jr. make this knockout shine. Rojas keeps soaring to unknown heights. ~ José A.
