Biography

Based out of Mobile, AL, Hush Hush Revolution originally formed as Criminal Class U.S.A., releasing the 2002 album, Echos in the Streets, on GMM Records as such. Though their name later changed, the guys carried over their brash punk sound intact. They boasted a Clash/Johnny Cash-inspired punk blend that resembled the Dropkick Murphys or a ska-free Rancid, but with a touch of country flavoring added, somewhat like Avail. Hush Hush Revolution -- comprised of David Mathews (acoustic guitar, vocals), Ernie Lindsey (drums), Roy Clark (bass, vocals), Jimmy Christ (lead guitar), and Brian Taylor (rhythm guitar) -- returned with the more Southern-fried full-length Criminal Class U.S.A. Is in October 2006 on Arkam Records with distribution through No Idea. ~ Corey Apar, All Music Guide
