Hyundai Development KRX: 012630 is a South Korean company involved mainly in civil and architectural engineering. The company was established in 1976 as a part of Hyundai Group, but no longer is a part of it. It is led by chairman Chung Mong Gyu, the eldest son of Chung Se Yung (honorary CBE), who is the co-founder of Hyundai Motors. The CEO of the company is Kim Jung Joong. As of January 2008, the market capitalisation is approximately U$ 6 billion (£ 3,000 million). Annual sales (2007) and estimated operating profit (2007) of the company are U$ 3 billion and U$ 350 million respectively. The company has approximately 1,900 employees (2007) and has a number of subsidiary companies including I’Park Mall, Hotel I’Park, I’Service and I Invest Management.
