Review
Those wishing to compile a greatest-hits volume for the Lebrón Brothers Orchestra (or a few other Fania/Cotique bands) could make it an easy job by simply skipping any tracks with English titles. Both the opener, "Can't Turn It Back On," and "I Knew You Were Gone" are strictly bush-league songwriting, and doubly bad at a dirge tempo. Thank goodness, then, for driving salsa mayhem on "Solita," "Lo Tuyo Llegara," and the fitting closer, "Jala Jala Otra Vez"; even the boogaloo "Together (Juntos)" sounds pretty good compared to the pop songs present. Fascinating fact: While no less than five Lebrón brothers appear on the record, only two actually made the cover. ~ John Bush, All Music GuideTracks
