Plot
In this Universal comedy, Al McKinnon plays Dick Snell, a happily married man who still has an eye for the ladies, most notably chorus girl Tessie Applesauce (Alida Hayman). Dick's wife Clara (Peggy Coudray) confronts him about his philandering, but he insists that there's a man who looks amazingly like him, with the same name, who is the culprit. This lie doesn't fool Clara for one second, and she decides to teach hubby a lesson. The next time he comes home from a rendez-vous with Tessie, she asks him for the candy and flowers he promised to give her. Since he made no such promise, he's led to believe that Clara has another man in her life. He goes out searching for him and when he returns late that night, Clara refuses to let him in, saying that her husband is in bed and she knows he's the impostor. This infuriates him, but he's forced to run for it when the maid (Mina Cunard), disguised as a man in his pajamas, takes some pot shots at him. The next day he comes home, a wiser, more faithful husband. ~ Janiss Garza, RoviCredit
