Review

This collection of RCA singles includes some of the funnier material recorded by Spike Jones and his City Slickers. It seems odd that "I Went To Your Wedding" was originally rejected because of the line "Fell flat on your..smile, " which is rather tame. The drunken vocal on "I Haven't Been Home In Three Whole Nights" and a remake of "The Sheik Of Araby" are riotous, but voice-over master Paul Frees steals the show with his handling of the roles of both romantic leads in "Too Young" and multiple movie stars in the sidesplitting "Popcorn Sack." This hard-to-find record is worth the extra effort. ~ Ken Dryden, All Music Guide
