i960

 

A 32-bit RISC-based microprocessor from Intel that was used in a variety of devices including laser printers, network switches and RAID controllers. With the first models introduced in 1988, the i960s were widely used throughout the 1990s. Both the i960 and i860 were replaced with the StrongARM chips acquired from Digital Equipment.
