Ibach

German firm of piano and organ makers. Founded in 1794 at Beyenburg by Johannes Adolph Ibach (1766-1848), it developed a reputation for building both fine and good medium-class instruments, including many modern uprights from 1885. Tributes to the Ibach piano have come from Wagner, Bartók, Schoenberg, Webern and Richard Strauss.
