Iljo Keisse (born December 21, 1982 in Ghent) is a Belgian racing cyclist specialising in track cycling formerly for the UCI Professional Continental team Topsport Vlaanderen. He is sometimes called the Tom Boonen of track cycling.[citation needed]
Together with his teammate Matthew Gilmore, he won three Six-day races in 2005-2006: Grenoble, Ghent and Hasselt. After his victory in the 2008 Six Days of Ghent, both his A and B samples tested positive for the banned substances cathine and a diuretic. He was fired by his team Topsport Vlaanderen on January 11, 2009 and will likely be stripped of his victory.[1] Joined the John Saey-Deschacht-Huyandai team in May 2009.[2]
