ImageMovers Digital is a studio run by film director Robert Zemeckis and The Walt Disney Company and it specializes in performance capture and CGI. Its first film is A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey which was released November 6, 2009.
It was formerly known as ImageMovers from 1997 to 2007; it was a film/animation studio. In 2007 it was acquired to The Walt Disney Company and renamed ImageMovers Digital. ImageMovers was well known for producing films like Cast Away, The Polar Express, Monster House and Beowulf.
ImageMovers Digital's current release is A Christmas Carol.

In 1997, by producer-writer-director Robert Zemeckis, along with partners Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey formed the production company ImageMovers. Among ImageMovers' productions were What Lies Beneath (with Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer), Cast Away (with Tom Hanks), The Polar Express (also with Tom Hanks), and its last film, the mo-cap Beowulf (with Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich, Robin Wright Penn and Angelina Jolie).
In 2007, ImageMovers was shut down and was renamed ImageMovers Digital after the company was bought by The Walt Disney Company.
