Imo's Pizza is a U.S. chain of pizza restaurants based in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area. It is headquartered in unincorporated St. Louis County.[1]
The chain is known for its version of St. Louis-style pizza, which is common in the area. The restaurants also sell an assortment of salads, appetizers, and desserts. The chain joined in on the trend of selling desserts that can be made in a pizza oven. Their new menu offering is called Cinnimos, a type of cinnamon bread sticks. While mostly found in the St. Louis area, the franchised pizzerias are also found scattered throughout select locations in the Midwest.
There are currently over 80 locations in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas. The company is based in St. Louis, Missouri.[2]
In 2004, Imo's was ranked the 26th largest pizza chain in the United States; it tallied sales of $72.5 million.[3] Cecil Whittaker's Pizza and Elicia's Pizza are two local competing chains.

History
The first Imo's pizza was opened at Thurman and Shaw in 1964 by Ed and Marge Imo.[4] The reason why Imo's pizzas are cut into squares is because Ed Imo was a tile layer by day and pizza maker by night, so it just came as a natural reaction to do so.
