(International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) ITU standards for third-generation (3G) wireless phones. Formerly known as the Future Public Land Mobile Telecommunications System (FPLMTS), IMT-2000 supports the WCDMA and CDMA2000 technologies through 3G Partnership Projects (3GPP). 3GPP covers WCDMA, and 3GPP2 supports CDMA2000.
