Plot

This video depicts the religious trek of famed educational and spiritual filmmaker Elda Hartley. With this video, Hartley documents the search for her own spirituality and enlightenment through the art of film. Always a spiritualist, Hartley wanted to explore the world of Buddhism and the teachings of the Buddhist peoples. Her cinematic search took her to the mountains of Tibet and parts of northern India. While in India, she met an American Buddhist nun. Hartley develops a close relationship with this nun and the other nuns of the area, even attending an international conference on Buddhist nuns in Bhodgaya.
