History

Indiana University Kokomo was formed when Indiana University acquired during 1945 the former Kokomo Junior College. Kokomo Junior College was formed in 1932 by John and George Beauchamp.[4][5]

The original campus was on Sycamore Street. In 1967 students raised money to have the Wellhouse moved from the original campus location to the current campus.>[6]
