This video, part of the Ancient America series, explores the world of different Indian tribes that inhabited the southwestern part of the United States. Narrated by American Indian actor Wes Studi, this documentary includes an examination of the heritage and culture of the Anasazi, the Hohokam, the Mimbres, and the Salado Indians. The Mimbres Indians were prehistoric people who lived in the region of what is now called New Mexico. The height of their culture was from 1000 to 1150 A.D., and they are most famous for the unique pottery they made and sold, which was decorated with images of insects, animals, and birds. The Anasazi and the Hohokam Indians are also prehistoric tribes. The Anasazi lived in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico in the first and second centuries, and the Hohokam lived in Arizona during that same time. ~ Cecilia Cygnar, All Movie Guide
