Forms of indicia

Indicia can take a number of forms, including pre-printed designs where a stamp would normally be and that indicate the pre-payment of postage.

The term also specifically refers to a meter stamp impression[2] or the part thereof that indicates the value or postal rate.[3]

Imprinted stamps on postal stationery are also sometimes known as indicia.[2]
