Biography

Da5id Din and Matthew Crofoot, two Boston studio owners, decided to become Informatik in 1993 after recognizing common musical tastes. The duo, who had previously worked separately as Acme Disco Machine and Struktur, began recording and released their debut album Direct Memory Access on Sinless Records. Informatik is an electro-industrial/futurepop duo from Boston that was formed in the 1990s and is represented by Metropolis Records. Band members currently reside in San Francisco. Da5id has a solo project called din_fiv. Tyler has a number of additional projects, including Battery Cage and AEC, and was also a member of Stromkern.
