Ingeniux CMS is a proprietary content management system developed by the Ingeniux Corporation. Ingeniux is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, United States. The company was founded in 1999 by members of the Microsoft MSNBC platform team, including current Ingeniux CEO Jim Edmunds[1].

Technology
Ingeniux CMS is currently on version 6. It built on Windows Server 2003. Clients are cross-browser web-based applications built on the Dojo Toolkit. Ingeniux CMS does not require a database. Content is stored as XML documents in an indexed file system. Ingeniux CMS uses proprietary XML processors to repurpose content based on its semantic structure. This provides a high-level of content reuse, but also requires that implementers understand the basics of XML and XPath queries.
Ingeniux CMS supports a wide range of deployment options. It can leverage any third-party server technology, such as .NET, ColdFusion, JavaServer Pages or PHP. It also supports static publishing and offers a dynamic XML content server option that runs on Microsoft IIS or Apache Tomcat.
Ingeniux CMS is offered as an on-premise server license or as an on-demand hosted content management service.

Criticisms
Although Ingeniux CMS is XML-based and supports XML content chunking and shredding it does not support fine-grained component tracking required for complex technical document publishing. It is better suited for Web content management projects.
