Review

A Produce's Inscape & Landscape is probably on his best recordings. This gifted L.A.-based trancey soundscape producer has the uncanny ability to carve out the most wonderful music from such minimal sonic elements. Inscape & Landscape seems to be a meditative sonic journey through a dark and contemplative world that takes many stops along the way. Inscape & Landscape, like A Produce's other recordings, illustrates what a gifted and enlightened composer he is. One of the things that's particularly significant is A Produce's gifted but minimal use of the guitar on the tracks that make up Inscape & Landscape. The guitar resonates beautifully amidst the other synthesized timbres that A Produce has excellently chosen for this recording. This recording has a similar sound to the 2001 Hypnos Recordings release Smile on the Void, but it's more cohesive and makes for a better and more unified listening experience. This is a fantastic recording, and certainly the best starting point of the artist's work outside of Hypnos Recordings. ~ Matt Borghi, All Music Guide
