Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics
Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics (IBB) is a pioneering Persian (Iranian) research Institute founded in 1976 to conduct world class research in biological sciences and related fields. It is affiliated to Tehran University and is located in the University campus. The institute hosted many scientists from all over the world during last decades. Prof Kashi Javaherian (currently a senior scientist at Harvard Medical School) was among the researchers and lecturers of the Institute in the past.
IBB is a "UNESCO chair in Biology" and affiliated to TWAS.
