(materials) A chlorinated hydrocarbon, such as trichlorobenzene, mixed with fluorinated hydrocarbons, whose high dielectric strength and high flash point allow it to be used in switches, circuit breakers, and transformers as an insulator and cooling medium. Also known as electrical oil.
