Memories light more than the corners of ISSI's mind. Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (ISSI) makes static random-access memory chips (SRAMs), DRAMs, specialized read-only memories, and other devices, including voice recording chips. SRAMs, which unlike DRAMs don't need periodic refreshing from the CPU to protect data from loss, are used in cars, computers, instrumentation, and telecommunications devices. ISSI's DRAMs are used in equipment such as set-top boxes, networking equipment, and disk drives. The company's customers -- either directly or through distributors and contract manufacturers -- include Cisco, Garmin, Nokia, Sony, and TRW Automotive. Asian customers account for two-thirds of sales.
