  • i. disk — dark staining, transversely oriented bands scattered through cardiac muscle fibers; points of end-to-end contact between contiguous myocardial fibers.
  • i. duct — small tubules connecting alveoli of salivary glands to intralobular striated ducts and finally to excretory duct.
