(graphic arts) A photograph of a shock wave or other fluid flow, produced with the aid of an interferometer, in which the displacement of interference fringes is proportional to the density change across the fluid.
(spectroscopy) A graph of the variation of the output signal from an interferometer as the condition for interference within the interferometer is varied.
