International Union of Medical & Applied Bioelectrography
IUMAB brief history
In the past, a number of associations have been formed by enthusiastic individuals to bring together the scientists involved into research in bio-electrography. After the demise of the International Kirlian Research Association (IKRA) which had been active in the 1970s Douglas Dean and Bernard Grad were two of those who felt the necessity of a new effort and made the formation of the International Union of Medical & Applied Bioelectrography (IUMAB) possible. The Union was formed in 1987 with the object of establishing the validity and scientific status of Bioelectrography by thorough research to bring together all the persons concerned with the various aspects of Bioelectrography and facilitate the exchange of opinions and experience to undertake, organize and facilitate the study of Bioelectrography in strict scientific protocols, especially where applied to aspects of health to establish a training and research center in the field and to publish a journal.
