Plot

When Lauren Bacall first began landing starring roles, her background did not include a lengthy training period, but she attracted an enormous amount of attention for "the look", the steamy gaze that became her trademark. Her childhood did not include her father, and she said this fact had an influence on her later relationships with men. She married Humphrey Bogart, who was 25 years older, and stopped acting to raise a family.
