Within a bone; sometimes used to refer to the bone marrow cavity in place of intramedullary.

  • i. catheterization — percutaneous placement of an intravenous catheter into a marrow cavity provides an alternative route for the administration of fluids and medication when peripheral blood vessels are collapsed or inaccessible. In small animals, the femur is most often used.
