ˈirǝܖkwoi 1. a member of any of the powerful tribes of the Five Nations (the Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, Cayugas, and Senecas) or a member of any of the other Iroquoian-speaking tribes (for example, the Cherokees, the Conestogas, the Eries, and the Wyandots).

2. UH-1 a light helicopter with one rotor used to transport troops and cargo and also to support attack helicopters. Some versions of the Iroquois carry machine guns and light air-to-ground rockets. Also called Huey.
