Map of Japanese provinces (1868) with Ise Province highlighted
Ise Province (伊勢国 Ise no kuni) or Seishū (勢州 seishū) was a province of Japan including most of modern Mie Prefecture. Ise bordered Iga, Kii, Mino, Ōmi, Owari, Shima, and Yamato Provinces.
The ancient provincial capital was at Suzuka. The modern Tsu is the largest castle town, although there were other Sengoku Period fiefs at castles like Kuwana and Matsusaka.
