Isiolo District is an administrative district in Eastern Province of Kenya. Its population is 100.861 (1999 census) [1], and its capital is Isiolo town.
The local topography is arid or semi-arid low plains. Ewaso Nyiro River flows through the district and partly bounds it.
District subdivisions
Isiolo district has only one local authority, Isiolo county council. The district has two constituencies: Isiolo North Constituency and Isiolo South Constituency. The district is divided into six administrative divisions:
