ISO 3166-2:GR is the entry in ISO 3166-2, part of the ISO 3166 standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which defines codes for the names of the principal subdivisions of Greece (whose ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code is GR).
Currently two levels of subdivisions are assigned codes:
- 13 administrative regions — Each code is a Roman numeral (I–XIII).
- 51 departments and 1 self-governed part — Each code starts with GR-, followed by two digits, with one exception (Attiki) whose first character is a letter instead. The first digit or letter indicates the geographical region where the subdivision is in:
- 0: Central Greece
- 1: Peloponnese
- 2: Ionian Islands
- 3: Epirus
- 4: Thessaly
- 5, 6: Macedonia
- 7: Thrace
- 8: Aegean Islands
- 9: Crete
- A: Attica
