History
The Isthmian League Cup's first season was in 1974–75. In this season, entry was restricted to Isthmian League Second Division clubs. Starting from the next season (1975–76), however, the competition has been open to all members of the Isthmian League.
The formal title of the competition changes according to its official sponsors. From 2009 the cup has been sponsored by Championship Manager, however the competition has been sponsored in the past by Hitachi (1977–85), AC Delco (1985–91), Bryco (1991–05) and Westview (2005–09).
