Plot
This Elvis Presley vehicle is close to a lemon, even for his die-hard fans. Elvis is Mike Edwards, a pilot of a small plane who has a faithful sidekick, Danny (Gary Lockewood), and a penchant for singing. The story, such as it is, takes place in-between a total of ten different songs, the most memorable being "One Broken Heart for Sale". Mike is tough on the outside but he is willing to take up a good cause when he finds Sue Lin (Vicky Tiu) temporarily abandoned at the Seattle Worlds Fair. Aside from Sue Lin, he also finds an attractive nurse who is not abandoned but might still need attention. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

The Seattle Center, including the Seattle Center Monorail and the Space Needle, serve as backdrops for several scenes in the film. Security officers pursue Presley and the girl through the fountains at what is now the Pacific Science Center. The truck drives by the largest wooden trestle in the Pacific Northwest, the Wilburton Trestle, which is located in Bellevue.

It Happened at the World's Fair.
Mike and Danny fly a cropduster, but because of Danny's gambling debts, a local sheriff takes custody of it. Trying to earn money, they hitch-hike to the World's Fair in Seattle. While Danny tries to earn money playing poker, Mike takes care of a small girl, Sue-Lin, whose uncle has disappeared. Being a ladies' man, he also finds the time to court a young nurse, Diane.
Kurt Russell had an uncredited speaking role as a boy who Mike Edwards pays 25¢ to kick him, thus giving him a chance to visit Nurse Warren. Coincidentally, Russell would play or appear as Presley three additional times: The first was in the made for TV film, Elvis. The second was to provide the voice for Elvis in Forrest Gump. And the third was in 3000 Miles to Graceland, where he portrayed an Elvis impersonator.
Vicky Tiu, sister of entertainer Ginny Tiu, later grew up to be the first lady of Hawaiʻi when she married Governor Benjamin J. Cayetano.
Diane (O'Donnell) Patelli had an uncredited role as the Space Needle elevator operator.
The song "One Broken Heart For Sale" has an additional verse in the movie. This verse was cut from album and single release. The verse is : "Hey Cupid, where are you? / My heart is growing sadder / That girl rejected me / Just when I thought I had her"
