"It's Tricky" is the final single released from Run-D.M.C.'s third album, Raising Hell. It was released late in 1987 through Profile Records and was co-produced by Rick Rubin and the group themselves. The song peaked at #57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #21 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The song heavily sampled The Knack's "My Sharona"[1]. The chorus' words and beat also closely follow 1982's Hey Mickey.

The popular video game SSX Tricky takes its name from the song as well as using it as its theme music. The song is featured in the 2000 film Road Trip as well as the 2004 film White Chicks. Also, the Philadelphia Flyers use the song after a player scores a hattrick.

The Bloodhound Gang did a cover on their second album One Fierce Beer Coaster.
