Review

The Blues Band's third and fourth albums, Itchy Feet and Brand Loyalty, were originally released in 1981 and 1982, respectively. The lineup on each album is the same as on the first two with the exception that Rob Townsend of the band Family replaced Hughie Flint on drums. Itchy Feet was in the U.K. Top 60 album chart for three weeks and was the band's third album to chart within an 18-month period. This release is a part of BGO's continuing reissue program of the Blues Band's original albums in the two on one CD series. This two-CD set has been remastered from original master tapes and features the original artwork of both albums and additional sleeve notes written by noted British rock writer John Tobler and bandmember Tom McGuinness detailing the history of the band and the albums. Both albums contain two bonus tracks taken from rare singles EPs and live tracks that were released around the same time as the original albums. Another superb package and a must for any fan of British blues music. In 2001, the band's profile is still high in England, with them working very hard gig-wise, and with Paul Jones having a weekly blues program on one of Britain's most popular radio stations, BBC Radio 2. ~ Keith Pettipas, All Music Guide
