Iwatsuki-ku (岩槻区) is a ward of Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan since April 1, 2005 when the city of Iwatsuki was incorporated into Saitama City.

Geography
Population and Area
The first population count was held on July 1, 2006 and the ward had an estimated population of 111,723. The total area remains the same at 49.16km².
Neighbouring Wards, Cities and a Town
Iwatsuki-ku is surrounded by Saitama City's Minuma-ku (west), Midori-ku (southwest), the cities of Kawaguchi (south), Koshigaya (southeast), Kasukabe (northeast), the town of Shiraoka (north) and the city of Hasuda (northwest).
History
- July 1, 1954-Iwatsuki gained city status.
- July 1, 2004-Celebrated their 50th anniversary as a city.
- April 1, 2005-Iwatsuki merged into the city of Saitama and became Iwatsuki-ku.
