Trombonist Jack Delaney has played with many traditional jazz greats and bands. He played with Johnny Reininger, Sharkey Bonano and Tony Almerico during the late '40s and through the mid-'50s. He recorded often in the mid-'50s with Almerico's Parisian Room Band, accompanying Lizzie Miles. He also recorded in New Orleans, both with his own bands and with Ken Colyer and Pete Fountain in the mid-'50s. Delaney worked at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans with Leon Kellner starting in 1958, and later reunited with Fountain. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
