Jack Kiefer
Character Bio
Jack Kiefer's ability as an escape artist put him in a unique position. He is rarely informed of the details of any mission, his only goal to plan an escape route for the agents involved. Kiefer is the best at what he does.Casing the area where the escape will likely take place, Kiefer surveys the target area from every angle. He observes and takes into account traffic patterns, police patrols, back alley denizens and more. INSIDE THE IMF:
Since the birth of the United States of America, the nation has had to defend and protect the democracy and freedom the country's forefathers fought so hard to secure. At the forefront of this defense is the military, equipped with thousands of soldiers, weapons and machinery ready to go anywhere in the world to fight for freedom. In some situations, the U.S. government has found that for a number of reasons the military is not an option, and that stealthier methods are called for. In response to these situations, as well as covert attacks against the government, a special covert agency was developed, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). While this agency has many known objectives and tasks, one of its most important roles is to foil and repel any covert attacks against the U.S. Spying is the name of the game, with CIA spies at home and abroad and foreign spies in the U.S. both trying to disrupt the other's plans and root out secrets.
One step deeper into the world of covert operations and spies is the Impossible Mission Force (IMF). Situations that are too hot politically, too dangerous for politicians to be trusted to confront, or too absurd for the CIA are all pursued by this top-secret organization. The IMF is a specialized group of expert agents that remain hidden from the public and most government eyes. If the IMF were revealed to exist, the U.S. would be forced out of the United Nations and banned as a "pariah state."
It is for this reason that the IMF trains its operatives so rigorously in the ways of stealth, deception, persuasion and the art of "invisibility." Agents are well educated, multi-talented and trained in a variety of areas including long distance surveillance, computers, demolition tactics and even assassination. One of the best-funded spy organizations in the world, the IMF also possesses millions of dollars worth of specialized gadgetry and weapons.
Not all of the IMF's operatives are top of line, and some have been disciplined or forced out of the agency for their unacceptable behavior during missions. The spies forced out of the IMF are the most dangerous individuals to the agency, as they could easily detail secrets about the organization to any number of foreign and rogue governments.
With continued success since the 1940s, the IMF bears the brunt of today's international attacks, now focused on concealed entry and espionage. The missions keep getting harder and harder - but so do the agents. ~ Shawn Sackenheim, All Game Guide
