About

Jackson is centrally located in the county named after it. To the North of Jackson the outpost of Bergen (along with its great bar) serves as a last line of defense from invasion from the barbarian clans of Windom. Jackson has quality schools as with neighboring Okabena in the Northwest part of the county. To the South resides the Iowa Lakes region comprised of Big Spirit, Okoboji, and several other small lakes. Altogether these lakes account for 98% of the lakes in Iowa. Once a part of Minnesota, the lakes were given to Iowa. Jackson is also home to several historical locations such as Fort Belmont, Mary Janes Grave, and Black Bridge road — which is a favorite of stoners.

Politics

Jackson is located in Minnesota's 1st congressional district, represented by Mankato educator Tim Walz, a Democrat. At the state level, Jackson is located in Senate District 22, represented by Democrat Jim Vickerman, and in House District 22B, represented by Republican Rod Hamilton.
