The Jacksonville Sharks are a professional arena football team based in Jacksonville, Florida and set to begin play in the Arena Football 1 league for its inaugural 2010 season. Home games will be played at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.
The Sharks will be Jacksonville's first arena football team since the defunct af2's charter team the Jacksonville Tomcats played from 2000 until 2002 in the Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum, which was torn down to make room for the new Arena.
According to Les Moss, the head coach, the team already has three players signed; Micheaux Robinson, Irving Campbell, and Jason Perry.
