Jaguey Grande is a municipality in the Matanzas Province of Cuba. It is located east of the Zapata Peninsula, north of the Bahia de Cochinos, along the Carretera Central, in the center of the province.
Demographics
In 2007, the municipality of Jagüey Grande had a population of 87,771.[3] With a total area of 882 km2 (340.5 sq mi),[2] it has a population density of 65.5/km² (169.6/sq mi).
The municipality is divided into the barrios of Arroyo Vuelto, Casiguas, Castilla, Ciudad, Don Martín, Escalera, Paradero de Bainoa, Paradero de Jaruco, San Antonio de Río Blanco and Santa Ana.[1]
