Plot

Mohan Bhavnani follows up on his debut Mazdoor -- a social realist look at working conditions in a factory -- with this gritty drama about the pain of joblessness. Narayan (Navin Yagnik) and the beautiful heroine Kokila (Rama Rau) struggle independently of each other in poverty, suffering abnegation and starvation before they are united in an ashram founded by the kindly professor Ramanand.
