James A. Jensen

James A. Jensen (August 2nd, 1918 - December 14th, 1998) was trained as a paleontologist by Alfred Sherwood Romer at Harvard University (1956 to 1961), and then worked at [[Brigham Young University)] until he retired (1961 to 1984). He is credited with discovering giant sauropods Supersaurus (1972) and Ultrasaurus (1979). He named Cathetosaurus (1988), Dystylosaurus (1985), the family Torvosauridae (1985) and Torvosaurus (with Peter Galton, 1979), Hypsilophodon wielandi (1985), Iguanodon ottingeri (1979 with Galton), Palaeopteryx (1979 with Galton), and Supersaurus vivianae (1985).
