James Gist III (born October 26, 1986 in Silver Spring, Maryland) is an American professional basketball player. A 6'9" forward from the University of Maryland, College Park, he was drafted 57th overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs. Shortly after, he signed a one-year contract with Pallacanestro Biella of the Italian Serie A.[2] Despite this contract, the San Antonio Spurs still retain his NBA rights.[3]
