1831The Personal Narrative of James O. Pattie, of Kentucky, During an Expedition from St. Louis, Through the Vast Regions Between That Place and the Pacific Ocean. A significant work of frontier literature, comprised of history and fiction, and especially notable for its exciting adventure narrative. Much of the book may have been written by its editor, Timothy Flint. It was plagiarized in 1847 in The Hunters of Kentucky; or, The Trials and Toils of Trappers and Traders, by B. Bilson.
