Jamie Allen
Jamie Allen is an artist specializing in multimedia and interactive art. Allen "believes technology might allow us to circumvent and reinvent traditional, commercial and hierarchical relationships to art and performance. His work in design, music, performance and public art creates physical relationships between people and with media." [1]
Allen teaches at New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Department. [2]. Allen also teaches interactive art and robotics Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and electronic music performance at NYU's Music Technology Department.[3] He is a Systems and Interaction Designer with Edwin Schlossberg's award-winning in multidisciplinary design firm ESI Design.[4]
Allen received an Engineering Degree from Queen's University, Ontario and a degree in Music Composition and Electrical Engineering from University of Glasgow, Scotland. Additionally, Allen holds a MPS from New York University (ITP).
