Jamie Rivers (born March 16, 1975 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently set to play in the Russian Super League on November 2007. On September 2007, He was sent down to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL by the Montreal Canadiens after being cleared waivers, but he has never reported to the team. He was suspended and will now play in Russia.
Playing career
Rivers was drafted in the 3rd round, 63rd overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Jamie Rivers also has a brother, Shawn, who played for the Atlanta Flames and Tampa Bay Lightning.
